ABOUT JULES

Jules Moore - Director
NZTC Horticulture & Gardening

Jules Moore has over 25 years experience as a horticulturist and landscape designer, with a practical knowledge of all facets of design, gardening, nursery, building and landscaping work.
She is a dynamic woman who endlessly gives to projects with her enthusiasm, ideas, and her unique gift of intuitive design.

With this in mind, Jules has combined her two passions, horticulture and landscape design, to create the unique business 'Edible Gardens', her nursery is full of traditional fruit trees, newer hybrids, and unique exotic plants that Jules uses to design gardens that are both stylish, and edible.

Jules believes there are a couple of reasons people grow their own produce. One is the desire to be more self-sufficient, especially after events like the Christchurch earthquake. The other is the growing desire to eat healthy and to grow food we know hasn’t been contaminated by chemical sprays. She has also noticed there’s a new wave of enthusiasm, of people who are removing landscaped gardens and replanting designer gardens with fruit trees, and edible and medicinal plants. They look great, and you can eat them!

Jules has achieved highly in her field, appearing on popular garden television shows like My House My Castle and Maggie’s Garden Show, and has won a number of Awards for her garden designs including Gold and the Peoples Choice Award at both the 2005 and 2007 Ellerslie International Flower Show!
