Feijoa sellowiana

This medium sized shrub is not affected by many pests and diseases. They are high in fibre and vey good for us . They can be used as a hegde/shelter reaching up to 2.5 -3m in height. The fruit ripens in late summer / Autumn and can be eaten raw , bottled ,utilized  in chutneys and sauses and has found its way into sparkling wines and juices of late . Plant in a sunny position , can take a moister soil. Frost hardy.
