A very sweet pear with green skin, that ripens quite early in late January. Its Country of origin is Belgium and it is a very old variety that has a high yield of fruit. It is self pollinating and on a dwarf root stock (2.5m) Ideal for espaliering  and a smaller garden space as one variety only, is required. Pear Belle du Jumet  fruit have pale gold skin and white flesh that just melts in your mouth. Extremely juicy and deliciously sweet. This pear offers a natural source of energy due largely to high amounts of fructose and glucose , Vitamin ‘C’ and Potassium and is high in Anti-oxidants.
