Red Bartlett Pear

One of the most commonly grown pears in most countries worldwide. It is a cultvar of an European Pear. Eaten fresh or in salads, preseved or baked this typically ball shaped fruit is Red on the outside but has a  delicious melty white flesh on the inside . Amazing flavour and natural sweetness. Pick when relatively hard and allow 7 days to ripen. When ripe they give off a sweet aroma. The Tree is oval and rounded in shape and reaches a height of approx 2-3m .
Plant in a moist but well drained, slightly acidic soil (this can be achieved naturally by adding old oak leaves around the base as a mulch)
