Passionfruit are so easily grown, yet so expensive to buy, so why not grow them yourself!
All you need is a supporting frame and a reasonably sheltered sunny spot, well drained soil, and regular feeding during their growing season and you will receive good crops of purple round delicious fruit.
They can be used in fruit salad or eaten raw off the vine, their pulp can be extracted , frozen and used later to flavour on ice-cream or smoothies. Either way its worth the effort.
